iConnect Digital Strategy
i-Connect is an approved Apple product reseller with a retail presence in Henry Street, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and Whitewater Shopping Centre and an online retail store i-connect.ie. The remit for izest Marketing, for this particular project, was to optimise their website and social media presence to improve their conversions through digital channels.
Website Design & Development
We began with a research project to understand the current positioning for i-Connect within their market as if we were going to improve their digital presence we had to understand their current relationship with consumers. It was also imperative that we fully understood the industry itself including any consumer behaviour trends, external influences, competitors, Apple regulations and limitations. We completed a UX and SEO audit of their existing website and social media channels and created a comprehensive report listing our recommendations and a roadmap for implementing improvements.
This led to a number of changes to the UX and design of the website to optimise it for website conversions. In conjunction with that activity, we also adapted their marketing plan to allocate more spend to their digital channels. The timing of this project was perfect as it coincided with the increase in online shopping brought on by the Covid imposed lockdowns and i-Connect was in a strong position to capitalise on the business opportunity that presented to them.
i-Connect saw over 400% growth in sales through their website over 2020 which made it one of the company best years to date, which is impressive considering the drop in footfall to retail stores. Their social media engagement is up, their website traffic is consistently strong and their online conversion figures have remained stable even as lockdown restrictions ease.
