Tackle Your Feelings


Tackle Your Feelings is an innovative and unique initiative aimed at breaking down the stigma around emotional vulnerability. The initial three-year campaign created by Rugby Players Ireland, in partnership with Zurich Ireland, focused on preventative mental health. Drawing on sport psychology principles, it encourages people to improve their self-awareness and work on their mental wellbeing. izest Marketing was integral to the development of the TYF initiative as we were responsible for the branding, visual language, and the design and development of the consumer App.

The app and the entire campaign is unique in Ireland and sports as a whole and is one of the only campaigns of its kind. Rugby Players Ireland wanted to do something about the stigma around mental health, particularly in their main target audience. The app uses some of the Irish sports’ most well-loved players talking about difficulties in their own lives, in order to get users talking about their own issues. The entire campaign is aimed at giving visibility to these issues and making the conversation more public and reducing stigma.



To date, there have been over 10,000 downloads of the app, and over 3,000 followers for the initiative across social media. The campaign has been supported by world-class sports stars like James Lowe, CJ Stander, Eimear Considine and John Cooney, to name but a few!

Due to the success of the initial campaign, TYF has been relaunched with a new look app, website and strategy, continuing to build on the initial aim of the original campaign and has now been developed out across schools and corporate programmes.

And last but certainly not least, izest Marketing won a Spider for Best App in 2019 and Best Use of Mobile at the 2020 Digital Marketing Awards.
